GlobalVision International, Inc. today announced that its partnership with SolidWorks Corporation, a renowned developer of mechanical design software solutions, allowed for the international release of SolidWorks 2000 in multiple languages. The Graphical User Interface, Help and Manuals were simultaneously released in nine Asian and European languages. The tight cooperation between SolidWorks’ internal localization group and GlobalVision made this complex release possible.
Recently Moldflow Corporation, MetalSoft, Inc. and ANSYS, Inc, all current SolidWorks partners, have also relied on GlobalVision’s services to release international versions of their products. By continuing to win many of SolidWorks’ partners GlobalVision International, Inc. expands its CAD/CAM localization business and its expertise in this field.
“We are very happy with GlobalVision’s professional approach in the process of localization”, said Ron Belcher, VP of Engineering Operations at SolidWorks. “It is in our interest that our partners integrate their solutions with ours not only from a technical prospective, but also from a language one. This is why we continue to recommend GlobalVision’s services to all our partners.”
“Expertise in the subject can make a huge difference in the end-quality of the localized product”, said Joe Manich, Director, Development Services at ANSYS, Inc. “International end-users would rather use the latest English release, than use outdated or inaccurate localized products. If you are to localize your product, do it right, or risk your product’s quality reputation and time-to-market window.”
“Having a tight relationship, process and methodology in addition to expertise in the CAD/CAM fields and terminology are required ingredients for satisfying, on a timely basis, the needs of the international end-users of SolidWorks and their partners”, said Nabil Freij, President of GlobalVision International, Inc. “When the end-user is successful, that makes us successful.”
