FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GlobalVision International, Inc. delivers ObjectStoreฎ and eXcelonฎ documentation in Japanese for Object Design, Inc., in record time and outstanding quality

Berlin, MA, October 18, 1999 – GlobalVision International, Inc. today announced that its partnership with Object Design Inc. (ODI) enabled ODI to release its ObjectStore and eXcelon products fully localized to Japanese on time and with outstanding end-quality.

"When ODI was faced with localization requirements to Japanese their main concerns were meeting strict quality and schedule requirements", said Nabil Freij, president of GlobalVision International, Inc. "Being a very technical product, they proceeded very cautiously about selecting the right localization partner. "

"Our end-users are software developers. To properly localize our products, we needed a localization partner that has expertise in our subjects," said Brian Otis, Engineering VP for ODI. "After evaluating many vendors, GlobalVision International, Inc. won our confidence. Their understanding of our topic, their top-down localization process that enables translation reuse, their excellent support and reasonable prices made them the obvious choice. A total of 20 manuals were delivered on time without a glitch to mention."

The project involved the translation, review and production of nearly one million words in the fields of C++, Java, Databases, APIs and technical tutorials. In coordination with the US office, and ODI, GlobalVision Japan played a major role in the management, execution and delivery of the project. "The Japanese end-user is very critical about the quality of software documentation", said Chie Sasaki, General Manager of GlobalVision Japan. "Proper planning, the right process, subject expertise, direct contact with the customer and an eye on quality throughout the entire duration of the project ensured that the ODI manuals will meet and exceed the Japanese engineering community standards."
